We had a great time in Colorado this year. We left snowy Iowa, traveled across Nebraska and into Colorado in our pickup truck. Brandon and Holly (friends of ours), and Leah (noahs sister) and Isaac (Leahs boyfriend) also traveled and stayed with us there.
We got there around 4pm Mountain time and found our condo in the town of Breckenridge. We went out for supper at a Mexican place called "Mi Casa". Then we found our way back to the condo and into the hot tub for us!! We stayed in the condo with some people that leah knows from Veterinarian school at Iowa State University.
We had a great time skiing down the mountain the three days we were there. It was pretty cold, but we made it out all in one piece. Noah went to the top of one of the mountians on the last day, and he said it was just so beautiful up there you could see for miles!! I would have gone up with him, but I would have ended up on a gurney behind the snowmobile. There are some difficult ski trails way up at the top of the mountain.
There are several restaurants planted in the middle of the mountain, so we had many places to go warm up, have some starbucks coffee, and get lunch mid-day. Mostly it was a good excuse to thaw our frozen parts.
